Here you will find a compilation of artifacts that I believe exemplifies my teaching experiences during my first practicum. Each artifact demonstrates a different skill or practice that I have used in the classroom. Please make sure to read my reflection, which is included to explain the artifact’s significance and it’s relation to the Ontario College of Teacher’s learning goals.

Professional Knowledge

Ryan Essery's Teaching Personal and Social Responsibilities workshop was great to experience. I believe that I have a new outlook on how to teach responsibility.

Ongoing Professional Learning
I have included a sample of a History Lesson Plan I submitted as an assignment for Dr. Glassford's History Methodology course. I believe it is a good representation of my lesson plan style and potential for growth.
I believe the best educators utilize a reflective practice. I have included some sample feed back I received, both good and bad, from my grade 10 English students.

Leadership in Learning Communities
I am very excited to share that I was able to volunteer, and take part, in the Greater Essex County District School Board's Youth Mental Health Summit in October 2015. It was an amazing experience - please click on the link for more details!
I have recently helped facilitate the Greater Essex County District School Board's Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Conference. I was very fortunate to be able to not only volunteer for such a great event, but take part in it and learn from every presenter.
